“I love Socials as a subject as it constantly challenges me with new hurdles at every turn. I know that it is a difficult subject, I’ve been through it, but I keep going and persevere through the obstacles with the help of my super-supportive teachers. I always enjoy learning about history as it allows me to make connections with myself as well as with society today. I love discovering more about my own history too. Some things are challenging, like memorizing dates and such, but i always work hard and persevere with the help of my teachers and peers. I would definitely recommend that everyone take social studies.”

“I find Social Studies to be a very engaging subject as I enjoy learning about new perspectives and opinions, which certainly are prevalent aspects of the subject. I always find it intriguing how even a single new piece of knowledge can change my worldview so much. The positive experience is further supplemented by the relaxing and supportive classroom environments that Socials takes place in. I also love learning about new cultures and religions. Sometimes, however, I do have trouble with formulating long answers, as it is difficult to put my thoughts into words. But, my teachers and peers are always supportive and I always recieve the help I need.”

I believe Social Studies is an integral subject to society as it enables us to keep past events in mind and act with them defining our decisions so that we don't repeat the mistakes we made through history. Social Studies teaches me to think critically about events in the past and present. Moreover, my teacher, Mr. Pablico is amazing and very supportive at all times. He helps me correct my mistakes and guides me through assignments. Something i do find challeing in Socials is that I rarely get to apply it to real world situations, but it is very useful when i do get to apply it. I would definitely recommend that everyone take social studies.”

“Socials is a very useful subject, as it helps students make connections between themselves and media, which allows them to have a better understanding of themselves and of society as a whole. Moreover, Social Studies helps students develop skills such as citation and checking for a source's credibility, which allows them to navigate the misinformation jargon on the internet. Social Studies also improves students' abilities to understand and communicate their thoughts and opinions, while being conscious of their bias and respecting others' perspectives. When teaching Socials, I like to encourage flexible study and note-taking methods to allow students to maximize their learning in their own unique way. Students in my class participate in debates and lectures, which allows them to consume large amounts of information and understand it in an efficient manner. Overall, socials is a very useful subject and i encourage everyone to try it.”
